While Emma was in hospital recovering from her life changing injuries she decided that she still needed to pursue her passion, riding and competing in events. After doing a search on the internet for “para equestrian” she discovered that the Australian Equestrian Federation were sending a team to Rio for the Paralympics in 2016. Emma decided there and then that this was going to be her goal.

In order to qualify for the Paralympic team, Emma needs to participate in a number of dressage events around the world. Glenn’s sponsored solo bicycle ride around Australia has raised enough money to make this goal possible and she is now pursuing it with amazing determination aboard Zidane.

Emma as a Grade II Para Rider is required to consistently score above 70% during selection events to be considered by Equestrian Australia for Rio 2016. Emma’s completed her three selection events final selection event and is now awaiting the final team announcement later in May.
